Web registration is the most convenient way to register for courses. You need access to the Internet, your student ID, and your student PIN number. It is a good idea to register as early as possible, so that you can select the courses you want. Your registration window is the time and date you may register for courses, which is based on the number of completed credits. This information can be found on the Important Dates and Deadlines page.
Step by Step Registration Instructions (print this page and have it available when you register)
1. From the ARCC homepage (www.anokaramsey.edu) click on the Register/Pay Financial Aid link.
2. In order to register online you must agree with the registration terms by clicking on the link. If you do not agree to the registration terms, you will not be able to register online.
3. Login using your student ID number and PIN. This information is available in your acceptance letter from the college. Here is a video to guide you through the login process.
4. If this is the first time you are logging in you will be prompted to change your PIN. Follow the instructions and make sure it is a number you won't forget (write it down!).
5. Select Courses and Registration from the left hand menu, click find a course and search by the criteria of your choice. Note: Cambridge students will need to start in the Advanced Search tab and select the appropriate campus. Here is a video to guide you through the search for courses.
6. Once you have found a course you wish to register for you can add it to your cart and continue to search for more courses. Once you have added all the courses you wish to register for, check each box, and register for the selected courses. Confirm the courses and enter in your PIN to finalize your registration. Remember, simply adding a course to your cart does not save you a spot in the course, you must finalize the registration with your PIN to secure a spot in the course.
7. Please note that you can make changes to your course schedule until the fifth day of the semester, this includes adding and dropping courses. If you decide to make changes beyond the fifth business day, please stop in to speak with an academic advisor to discuss your options. Here is a video to guide you through the drop/withdraw process.
*If you wish to register with the quick add/register option you will need to write down the 6 digit course ID numbers for each of the courses you are registering for. Again you will need to confirm the registration with your PIN. Here is a video to guide you through the quick add/register process.
What to consider when choosing your courses:
Remeber to think about which subject areas are difficult for you and which subjects you enjoy.
Choose a course load that will ensure your success. Determine how you will balance family, work and school work. Plan for 1 hour in class, per week, per credit and 2 hours out of class, per week, per credit. A 12 credit semester load is 36 hours of week, nearly a full time job. Note that:
· Students receiving financial aid must register for at least 6 credits to be considered part-time.
· International students must register for a minimum of 12 credits to be full-time students.
· Student-athletes must register for at least 12 credits to be eligible for their sport.
The process of selecting the appropriate courses and course load for your program is extremely important to your academic success. To ensure that you are on the right track, we strongly encourage you to attend an Registration Planning Session.
