If you plan to attend Anoka Technical College during the upcoming academic year and receive financial aid, please understand the following:
- The financial aid process will take three to six weeks to complete. You will receive an award letter after the process is completed.
- The college accepts major credit cards for tuition payment and has a payment plan available. Tuition payments and payment plans are available through a student's eServices account.
- Forms to initiate direct deposit of financial aid balance are available on the web at www.anokatech.edu or in the Business Office.
Types of Financial Aid:
- Grants - Do not have to be repaid. Note that the Minnesota Post-secondary Child Care Grant requires a separate application.
- Work-study - Work on campus if you qualify. See
http://www.anokatech.edu/current_students/pay/finaid/wsjobs.html
- Loans - Must be repaid. Note that students must complete a Master Promissory Note to borrow loans.
Deadline Dates:
Students who have not completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) six weeks in advance of the semester start can still apply for financial aid. However, payment arrangements are due the Friday before the semester starts.
Disbursement of Financial Aid:
Aid disbursement begins no earlier than the third Wednesday of the semester. If the aid exceeds your tuition and fee charges a check will be mailed to your address on file. You may have financial aid directly deposited into your bank account by completing a request form.
Special Notice:
Unless otherwise indicated, financial aid applicants must be U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens; financial aid programs are not available to International students.
