Minnesota Transfer Curriculum

The Minnesota Transfer Curriculum is equivalent to the ten goal areas outlined in the MnSCU's general education requirement. Courses approved for a goal area at a Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) institution will apply to the same goal area at another MnSCU institution. Thus, general education requirements may be completed at this campus or met by transfer courses from another institution.

Students who have completed the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum, or who have earned an Associate of Arts (AA) degree from a Minnesota community college or state university will have completed the general education requirements that will transfer to a four-year MnSCU university and apply toward a student's bachelor's degree. However, these students must meet the university's liberal studies requirement.

This general education exemption does not apply to the Associate of Science (AS), Associate of Applied Science (AAS) or other associate degrees.
