Welcome to the online orientation! Orientation is an opportunity to get off to a good start and become familar with the many resources and opportunites at Metropolitan State University so you can get the most out of your education. The content is organized in modules (tabs) located in the navigation bar above. An Online Orientation Checklist to guide you through the process and a brief overview is provided below.

To help you get off to a good start, below is the Online Orientation Checklist outlining five steps to complete to help you get the most out of your education.

Step 1: Complete all six Test Your Knowledge Self Assessments at the end of each module in preparation for the Comprehensive Quiz

Step 2: Complete the Academic Planning Activities found in the Planning module and create the Long-Term Academic Plan.

Step 3: Complete the Comprehensive Quiz found in the menu bar above under Registration.

Step 4: Register for courses and make arrangements for payment by the tuition deadline including applying for financial aid at www.fafsa.ed.gov and http://www.metrostate.edu/msweb/pathway/aid/apply.html. Take a course load that balances work, school, family and friends.

Step 5: Gather your questions as you progress through the orientation and contact your advisor. Click on our home page at www.metrostate.edu and log on to portal located in the upper right hand corner of the web page. Find your advisor's contact information in the lower left hand corner of the portal.
