You should obtain your Metropolitan State University Student ID card as soon as possible. You will need your Student ID #, which is also known as your Tech ID. An activated card allows you to:
- Check out and renew books and videos from the library.
- Use Interlibrary loan (ILL). ILL allows you to have articles from other libraries emailed to you, or books and videos sent to the Metropolitan State library from other library systems. ILL is a free service and allows you to have access to materials at virtually any library!
- Check out materials directly from libraries in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) system.
- Reserve study rooms up to two weeks ahead of time, check out laptops, study rooms, and more!
