Track Your Progress

When you were admitted to the university you may have received a DARS report or a General Education/Liberal Studies/Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) Worksheet, also known as a GELS Worksheet.

If you received a DARS report, as you complete courses, the courses will be reflected on an updated DARS report.

If you received a GELS Worksheet, when you complete courses, you will need to physically update your GELS worksheet by hand.

In addition, if you declare a major, you will be given additional tools such as a major flowchart for planning your course sequence and a major checklist indicating what courses on your transcript are considered equivalent in transfer and what courses you still need to complete to meet degree requirements. First College Students take PRSP 301 Perspectives: Educational Philosophy and Planning to design their individualized degree program.

These are tools designed to help you keep track of your academic progress. When you call your advisor, be sure to have these materials available, including handouts such as the Undergraduate Requirements so you can reference them for course options when you have questions.
