Your Degree Audit Report (DARS) is an advising tool that provides helpful information for selecting courses to complete your degree. Depending on where you are in the admission process, your DARS may or may not have the courses listed for your program.
Phase 1: Admitted to the university and you were sent a Transfer DARS report indicating whether or not you need the Placement Assessments and what general education and liberal studies requirements have been met.
Phase 2: Login to access your DARS report under Grades and Transcripts for the most current "Undeclared" version indicating what general education and liberal studies requirements have been met.
Phase 3: When you Choose and Declare a Major, your DARS report will reflect the courses required in your major/program. However, some majors/programs have admission requirements that must be completed before you can declare the major.
Use your DARS report and General Education & Liberal Studies (GELS) Guide to list the courses still required for your general education and liberal studies on this form.
If you disagree with the evaluation of your General Education and Liberal Studies, you may submit the applicable forms (Appeal for Denied Credits and/or Appeal for Transfer Credit Evaluation) and documentation to support your appeal to Records and Registration.
If you disagree with the evaluation of your courses for your major, contact your assigned academic advisor. You may be required to submit additional documentation to support an appeal to have the course content re-evaluated.
Warning About Double Transcripting: You can not count credit twice for essentially the same course. In order to avoid the expense in both time and money needlessly repeating a course, it is important to have all your transcripts listed on your application and submitted for evaluation.
For more information regarding transferring courses to Metropolitan State refer to the U.Select Web-based Course Transfer System which provides information about how courses transfer from one institution to another.
