Creative Learning Strategies recognizes that people learn in a variety of ways. Thus, there are a variety of ways for you can earn college credit, in addition to the typical classroom course. For example, Online courses and College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exams provide more flexible ways to take a course, but may not fit some students' learning styles.
Internships and Independent Studies provide opportunities to truly individualize your program, but they also require lots of initiative by the student. College Level Examination (CLEP) exams and other options such as learning assessments can help you earn college credit for previous learning that has not been awarded credit or accepted as equivalent.
After you are admitted, you may transfer in credits that enable you to take a course from another school and use it towards your degree.
If you are unsure, discuss these options further in an advising session in regards to what best fits your own background, learning style, needs, goals and your education plan.
