Bachelor's Degree

The Associate in Arts Degree (approximately 60 credits) or Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) (40 credits general education) are designed to transfer to a four-year university or college in order to pursue your bachelor's degree. Bachelor Degrees can be either a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts and may incorporate a minor that complements your interests or provides an opportunity for you to explore new interests. Bachelor Degrees are typically around 120 credits and the above chart gives you an example of the credit break-down. The same 40 credits of general education (MnTC) you take at a community college will fulfill the general education requirement for all of the Minnesota public colleges and universities and some private institutions.
