Planning: Test Your Knowledge

Each module has at least one self-assessment test called "Test Your Knowledge" that provides you an opportunity to interact with the information and help you plan your academic program. Generally it takes approximately ten to fifteen minutes to complete a self-assessment test.

The Choose and Declare Your Major section of this module has specific information that relates to the individual majors offered at Metropolitan State University. Many of the majors, not all, have an interactive tutorial to explain what courses are required for the major and the recommended sequence that the courses should be taken in order to get the most out of your degree program. When you decide on a major you can begin to plan your academic program and lock in requirements by officially declaring your major.

Completing these self-assessment tests will help prepare you for the Comprehensive Quiz. When you are ready, you can take the Comprehensive Quiz to test your comprehension of the information covered in all the modules.

If you miss an important point or two, you can revisit the topic and redo the Comprehensive Quiz as many times as necessary. When you successfully pass the Comprehensive Quiz, your orientation hold will be lifted and you may continue to register for courses beyond the first term.
